Leadership Approach

  • I thrive in environments where I can be a hands-on leader, working closely with teams when needed to remove roadblocks, clarify direction, or solve tough design problems. My approach is to set a clear vision and provide context but trust my team to execute and innovate. I’m there to provide support, mentorship, and feedback, while also ensuring they have the space to make decisions and lead projects.

  • I believe the best results come when individuals feel accountable for the product’s success, treating it as if it were their own. I look for this "Founder’s Mentality" when building teams—people who are passionate about what they do, seek out responsibility, and approach problems with a solutions mindset.

Once I find the right people, my role is to equip them with the tools, insights, and resources they need to thrive. Whether it’s clearing obstacles or aligning teams on business objectives, I ensure they have what they need to focus on their best work.

  • Creating a culture where teams take ownership isn’t just about individual empowerment—it’s about building collaboration, transparency, and accountability. I believe in open, honest communication, where feedback flows freely and everyone feels a responsibility to contribute to the team's success.

During my time leading teams and projects, especially at Cockroach Labs and Percolate, I’ve emphasized the importance of cross-functional collaboration. By ensuring that designers, engineers, and product managers are in sync from the start, we’ve been able to streamline development cycles, identify issues early, and create better outcomes.

  • At the heart of leadership is the ability to set a compelling vision—one that not only aligns with the company’s strategic goals but also resonates with the team. I take pride in crafting clear product visions that inspire, backed by strong execution plans that turn ideas into reality.

At Percolate, I was tasked with defining the future of our Enterprise CMP product during a time of rapid growth and shifting market needs. I rallied the team around a shared vision, laid out measurable goals, and pushed us to exceed client expectations by creating a product that could scale and adapt to their evolving needs.

  • Leadership isn’t just about guiding during times of success—it’s about navigating teams through challenges with resilience and empathy. Whether it’s dealing with economic pressures, or managing complex cross-functional initiatives, I believe in being transparent, providing stability, and ensuring that my team has the support they need to stay focused and motivated.

When challenges arise, my first priority is my team. I believe in fostering a healthy work-life balance and being an advocate for my team’s well-being, especially in tough situations. My leadership approach is grounded in empathy, helping individuals navigate both personal and professional hurdles while keeping their energy and creativity intact.
